About Berman News ServiceBerman News Service is a family owned and managed business established in 1970. For years, Gloria Berman ran the customer service and billing side of the business while Murray Berman, Chief Executive Officer, ran the operational side including acquisitions. This was a part time job for Murray as he was employed as an Executive Vice President of a major medical diagnostic company that manufactured cat scanners, magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ultrasound scanners. Allen Berman, Chief Operating Officer, spent years being raised in the business but after graduating from the University of Hartford in 1984 with a major in Marketing and a minor in Management he opted to go on a different path. Allen moved to Boston and became a manager with Jordan Marsh department stores in Peabody, Massachusetts getting promotions to Assistant Buyer of Men’s Sportswear and then to Assistant Store Manager of Jordan Marsh’s Burlington, Massachusetts store. He left Jordan Marsh to round out his retail experience with Lord and Taylor. In 1987, Murray retired from the medical company devoting full time to the rapidly growing newspaper business. In 1991, the business had successfully grown to the point where it was a good fit for Allen to move into this family business. Gloria (an icon in the customer service field) retired from the business in 1999. Berman News Service has continued to grow and currently services much of Fairfield County, Connecticut. The towns we currently service are Darien, Greenwich, Georgetown, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Rowayton, Southport, Stamford, Weston, Westport, Wilton and Long Island. We strive to provide our customers with the quality of delivery that is second to none. |
